One of the number one questions people ask is, can I lose weight from running? Absolutely. The more you run the greater the chance you have to lose weight. Take a lot at marathon runners, their a perfect example of weight loss. I don't have anything against marathon runners, but you have to ask yourself do you really want to get this thin? It really depends what your goals are. Be Consistent But if you do want to lose weight from running you have to be consistent with it. It doesn't matter what you weight right now. If your goals is to lose 10 pounds or 2 pounds you have to put the work in and stay consistent. That's where your going to get the real results. A great way to stay consistent is by joining a running club. This will make it easier and you will also meet a lot of great people who will keep you motivated. So the more you run the better chance you have to lose weight. But there are 3 things you need to be completely aware of if you want to lose weight. Increase Your Intensity It's suprisingly true, but most people ignore that they need to increase the intensity of their run. If you decide to go out for a run 2-3 times a week and your really slow for a short amount of time, it's unlikely your not going to lose much weight. But if you ramp up the intensity and run a little harder you will burn more calories for a more intense workout. If you want to only do twenty minutes each time you go for a run and want to see major results then I suggest you start slow, then gradually build yourself up so you can run longer distances within that thirty minute time limit. There are other ways of increasing the intensity such as running hard for a few minutes then jog for a few minutes. But you should always be aiming to increase the intensity of your workout. Eat Clean You can do all the running you like but if you're not paying attention to what you eat, then it's not going to do much good for weight loss. Forget about all the fancy diets that you probably read about online or in magazines. It's so easy to get overwhelmed with all that kind of information. The easiest way is to eat more fruit and vegetables and cut out processed foods that is causing you to gain weight and prevent you from losing it. Foods to Avoid are
So you get the idea of why these foods can easily prevent you from losing weight and if your not careful these foods will pile on the weight.
